Living a Christ like life.

This book as allowed me to see and understand the love of God more. He as done every thing for us to be saved. He let us know what to expect in the world, how to live above sin and temptation.. It is like sitting for an examination and the teacher is preparing us for the exam. In this book we are been prepared how to live a Christ like life.

Far, far more than 3 temptations

This is one of my favorite little books. I've read it several times and refer to it often in Bible study. It's an eye-opening and thought provoking in-depth look at the 3 temptations of Jesus. Far, far more than just a simple temptation to turn stones into bread, it covers all of our appetites in this world that would detract from a closer walk with God----whether that be appetites for food, amusement, sex, money or any other distraction that Satan puts in front of us. The same goes for putting ourselves into dangerous positions deliberately. It's not just the simple activity of doing something dangerous like speeding down the road at 120 MPH and presumptuously expecting God to protect us, but what about putting ourselves into spiritually dangerous situations? Such as the friendships we keep, the things we eat and drink, the places we go, the books we read, the movies we watch? The list goes on and on. Then there's the issue of pride. It's not just clothing ourselves for all the world to admire, but what about every thing we do and adhere to; even things that of themselves are good----like working? Self and pride are so woven into our carnal natures that we're blinded to how much of who we are is completely off-track from who God wants us to be. This book opens up far, far and away more than just 3 simple temptations. It openes up every aspect of our lives for serious consideration to the honest soul seeking to be more Christ-like. Highly, highly recommend it!
